Performance Dates
30th April 2010 – 8th May 2010 as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe
Summary
Set as promenade performance 3 characters will explore the story of Icarus, his flight and fall. Based on Ovid’s poem a portrait of Icarus is created, drawing on poetry, literature and personal text. Strong physical and visual language will be employed and installation elements will be included in the set to navigate and guide the audience and performance.
The audience will be free to explore the unfolding stories themselves and either follow a particular character or create a unique journey in the space.
Characters
I am looking for 3 performers, no age and gender restrictions, who are willing to explore and develop the story of Icarus and are interested in promenade performance and a visual and physical approach to performance.
Further are ushers involved in the production to guide the audience and create spaces throughout the performance.
Audition Date
Saturday 6th February 3pm in the South Hall
The audition will be held as workshop, exploring text fragments and physicality. Please wear comfortable clothing. Feel free to prepare a short piece of text, which you consider relevant to the story. If you would like to know more about this production or are interested in auditioning, please contact me.
