Lewis, a young first-time director, is hired to direct a play as part of a therapeutic programme meant to keep the inmates of an asylum interested and to 'bring them out of their shells' as Justin, a social worker, puts it. Unfortunately for Lewis, Roy has decided on Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, not just an opera buffa, but an Italian one. Of course, none of the few volunteers can speak Italian, much less sing - indeed some can barely speak. To make matters worse, the venue for this performance is a fire-gutted theatre with a leaking roof and faulty wiring. The cast includes a pyromaniac, a junkie, a knife- wielding romantic, a confused realist, a Lithium-addicted pianist who hates Mozart and a stuttering ex-lawyer who refuses to take part in the production. Lewis, needless to say, is slightly discouraged by the task at hand.

The time is 1971. The play is set in a Melbourne (Australia) mental institution.

DreamsLeap Theatre Company is joining the New Venture Theatre this autumn for its Dreams & Visions season. Our current work involves performing peoples' dreams. Each member of our audience is rich in dreams -- whether waking or sleeping dreams. We have worked with the dreams of many people already, awakening dreams that are everyday and dreams that are extraordinary, both of equal significance and transformative power. All dreams and all dreamers are invited.

We have a unique style that involves both improvisation and ensemble playing. We use our bodies to create the environment and atmosphere of the stories that we tell. Just like your dreams, every night is different.

DreamsLeap carry the night into the day and allow people to see into it and find the stars they named as theirs and begin to follow them, to realign themselves...

A brand new, entirely original pantomime with a huge all-star cast, spectacular sets and costumes and lots of new songs, all performed live. Through The Wormhole conjures up a fantasy Brighton where anything can and does happen!

Set in the future, Through The Wormhole combines global disaster with acts of individual heroism, Einstein with disco dancing, magic with quantum physics, characters from local history with aliens from outer space, petty crime with global greed ... plus snow!

This exciting sequel to The Last Resort promises to bring back some favourite characters, including Old Mother Brighton, Christiana, Mrs Fitzherbert and, of course, The Prince Regent!
