As a community theatre, NVT is committed to providing the opportunity for members to develop their skills in a variety of aspects of theatre. Aside from our very popular Acting Classes, we offer a number of workshops, short courses and special interest groups which are designed to give you an insight into backstage functions and put you in contact with other people with similar interests.

COSTUME CREATION WORKSHOP — Sandra Ventris
Sun 1 Nov 7:30 - 9:30 pm Intro & Preparation NOTE: change of dates from Mon 2 Nov to Sun 1 Nov!!!
Sat 14 Nov 10 am - 5 pm Assembly
Cost - £15 (£5 members)
A workshop to inspire and spark creativity. Choose a character from any play and work from drawing to realisation. Each person will need to source their own materials - by fair means or foul. We will work from silhouette to actor in motion and see what can be achieved in the time we have !!!

The New Venture Theatre's forum for established and new designers continues in the New Year. This is a place where anyone with an interest in design can get creative input for their designs, share ideas, resources and practical advice. Or just come along to make contacts and discuss the future of design over a beverage or two. All welcome.
