We follow the fortunes of Barely Athletic as they struggle to avoid finishing bottom of the Hull LGBTQ+ five-a-side league.
VIV (playing age late 30s). The coach. Thrown out of Lesbian Rovers for being too bossy, she’s desperate to shaft her old team.
JOE (playing age 39 – he has his 40th birthday during the play). The token straight, struggling to cope with the death of his wife.
BEARDY GEOFF (playing age 25-35). Penniless busker (earned £1.37 and a Chewit in his last session) dreams of headlining Hull Pride. You will need to be able to play the guitar and sing.
DANNY (playing age early 20s). Student struggling to write an essay on sports coaching. Fancies Luke.
LUKE (playing age early 20s). Luke is a virgin looking for his first love.
Danny and Luke have to kiss. We will have access to an intimacy co-ordinator.
