NVT Accessibility Information
Parking
The nearest car park is the NCP Regency Square Car Park which is 0.3 miles away. It has 8 accessible parking bays close to the entry/exit ramp. Blue Badge users cannot park for free – charges apply.
There is also limited parking available in streets around the theatre for blue badge holders parking on double yellow lines where permitted.
Access to the Venue
New Venture Theatre has step-free access from the street and throughout the ground floor of the building. A small ramp for wheelchair users will be put in place on the front door to get over a slight lip.
New Venture Theatre has two performing spaces - the Theatre Upstairs and the Studio Theatre.
The Studio Theatre is on the ground floor of the building along with the Bar and the Access Toilet. The narrowest door width on the ground floor of the venue is 790mm.
The Theatre Upstairs is accessed via four flights of stairs. There are 7 steps followed by a landing, 7 steps followed by a landing, 7 steps followed by a landing and 7 steps followed by a landing outside the Theatre Upstairs. The stone steps are uneven through age and the depth of the tread varies between 11 and 17cm. There is a handrail on both stairs and landings.

Assistance for the Hard of Hearing
Please note that we DO NOT have Induction Loop/Sennheiser Infrared/Sennheiser Radio Frequency systems for hard of hearing installed in either theatre space.
Early entry to the Theatre/Additional assistance
If you would benefit from early entry to the auditorium or additional assistance please speak to one of the NVT volunteers. In the Studio Theatre where seating is unreserved if you would benefit from sitting in an aisle seat or in the front row speak to the Duty Manager and they will do what they can to accommodate your request if possible.

Hidden Disabilities
Sunflower lanyards. Not all disabilities are visible — autism, chronic pain, dementia, anxiety, visual or hearing impairment. Volunteers at New Venture have been trained to look out for the sunflower lanyards and to discreetly offer extra assistance if it is required.
